After that I started on C on an old amiga. My first introduction to the x86 type of personal computer was the 0x88 an old amstrad ppc that was falling apart, I later got an IBM XT PC. it was running a 0x86 and worked a little slower than my 0x88 but it had a hard drive and IBM BASICA ROM so it gave me more capacity to play with. it was about that time when I got my first real modem, sure there was a modem on the amstrad ppc but it was only 9600bps the new one I got went up to the extreme speed of 14.4k! I remember a few bits about it one was that it was a hayse modem I forget the model, but I just remember it getting a huge 200k file so much faster than my 9.6k portable. Anyway now here I am, 10meg internet and moaning at how slow it is, as they say satisfaction is stagnatious to progress.</div>
